Account Information: None. You can use all conversion tools without creating an account, logging in, or providing an email address.

Server Log Data: Like most web servers, our infrastructure automatically records standard technical log entries when pages are requested. This log data includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, date/time stamp, and the requested page path. Log data is used strictly for server diagnostics, abuse prevention, rate limiting, and security monitoring.

3. File Processing & Handling

When you upload or select a file for conversion on File2Format:

No Permanent Storage: Uploaded source files and converted output files are stored temporarily on ephemeral disk space during the conversion session. All temporary files are automatically deleted from our servers within 15 minutes of upload.

No Data Harvesting: We do not read, analyze, index, catalog, or mine the contents of your files. Your files remain your property at all times.

4. Google Drive & Dropbox Integrations

File2Format offers optional cloud storage pickers to allow users to select files directly from Google Drive or Dropbox:

User-Initiated Selection: Cloud file pickers operate via official Google and Dropbox API integrations. When you click the Google Drive or Dropbox button, a secure picker overlay opens.

Access Scope: File2Format only receives access to the specific file you select in the picker UI. We do not request, receive, or store access to your full cloud drive, contact lists, or personal account files.

File Fetching: The selected file is fetched directly into your active converter session, processed according to your chosen target format, and deleted from temporary storage within 15 minutes.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

File2Format does not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising profiling cookies.

We use browser localStorage strictly for non-tracking UI state preferences, specifically saving your preferred light or dark theme mode (data-theme) across page visits.

6. Third-Party Services & Links

Our site may contain links to external websites, third-party cloud services (such as Google Drive or Dropbox), or open-source libraries. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party platforms. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of external services they choose to interact with.

We employ standard security protocols to safeguard data in transit and temporary storage. All communications with File2Format are encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
